GSK Science in the Summer 2020: Be a Chemist!
Be a Chemist! at home this summer! Beginning June 29 through July 8, use the link below to register for a chance to receive a bag of science materials and learn about chemistry. http://scienceinthesummer.fi.edu/phila
Coming in July, the GSK Science in the Summer: Be a Chemist! program will be offered virtually in the greater Philadelphia are. This program consists of at-home experiments where children take on the roles of four different chemists to solve real-world problems: color chemist, materials chemist, medicinal chemist, and water chemist. The program will also include introductory videos and live virtual research team meetings with Franklin Institute educators to share results from the at-home experiments. Be a Chemist! is designed for children ages 7-13 and we invite your whole family to explore together at home!
Families in the greater Philadelphia area will have a chance to enter an online lottery from June 29 to July 8, to receive a free kit of science materials for one of the Be a Chemist! activities. Please note that if you are not selected in this random lottery, all activity guides, materials lists, and videos will be shared online, so you can still assemble your own materials and have fun being your own chemists at home!
