JOHN JAMES AUDUBON (1785-1851)
Fran Phaneuf will present a free program at the Parkesburg Librarian on American Ornithologist & artist, John James Audubon, who was the son of a French merchant and born in Santo Domingo. Auburn was sent to America at age 18 to manage his fathers plantation at Millgrove, PA. His images for "Birds of America" matched his untold spirit and his love for America.
